The Cascade Cadets are back in action this week against longtime rival Monrovia Bulldogs at Monrovia High School. The two schools separated by 20 miles created a brand new tradition for the years to come. The winner of the game each year will take home the Battle of I-70 traveling trophy.
Cascade dropped their final home game of the season toSpeedway 28-6. Cadets had multiple opportunities to put points on the scoreboard but could not capitalize on the attempts. Cadets look to bounce back this week.
The Bulldogs enter the game with a record of (1-6, 0-5) and are coming off a loss vs Indianapolis Lutheran 56-0. The Cadets enter the game with a record of (2-5, 1-5) dropping 2 of their five losses to #7 Triton Central and #1 Indianapolis Lutheran. The Cadets two wins have come by a combines score of 83-13.

Cadets look to gain some momentum going into their final two games of the regular season Friday Night. This will be the 19th meeting for the Cadets and Bulldogs, with the Bulldogs leading the series 12-6, but Cascade won the previous meeting on 10/25/2019 – 49-21 at Cascade High School. The last Monrovia win came two years ago on 8/24/2018 – 38-0 at Monrovia High School.
Cadets look to keep gain momentum going this week vs Monrovia. SO Quarterback MaKye is under center for the Cadets. On the season, MaKye Tharp looks to bounce back from his previous performance and get back on track in the passing game. SR Running back Dane Dubois and SR Running back Stephen Alderson will tote the rock this week against a attacking Bulldog defense. SR Wide Receiver Zarik Chmielewski and SR Aiden Roach look to gain on their previous games at the receiving corps.. Defensively, Cadets look to keep ground and pound Bulldogs offenseoff the scoreboard. Cadets defense has forced 14 takeaways over the course of the season. Sr Linebacker Dane Dubois leads the team in tackles with 39. SO Liam Farmer also leads the team in sacks with 4 and 11 tackles for a loss. SR Aiden Roach and SR Zarik Chmielewski are tied with 2 interceptions a piece.

Scouting the Bulldogs
Bulldogs are coached by 1st year Head Coach Andrew Olsen (1-6 this year)
Under center for the Bulldogs is Dalen Clements. On the season, Clements is completing 29-68 429 yards 5tds-10ints. Todd Camic and Corbin Padgett lead the running corps combining for 132 rushes 746 and 5 touchdowns.
Defensively, the Bulldogs are led by Hunter Wray with 63 tackles, Alex Scdoris with 35 tackles and Lennox Tkachuk with 30 tackles.
The Cadets will be on the road for their final game of the season. Next week, Cadets travel to take on Cardinal Ritter on 10/16/2020.
