Cascade 120 South Vermillion 124 International School 73
The Cascade boys swimming and diving team fell 4 points short of a double win last night against South Vermillion and International School. The meet with South Vermillion came down to the last relay with the cadets falling just short. On the night the boys had some great swims. Dane Market continues to pace the cadets with a some strong swims in the 100 fly and 100 breaststroke. The cadets also got good swims from the freshman. Caden Potters blistered his leg of the 200 relay and Jackson Bolinger matched his season best time in the 50 free and the 100 free. Cason Vonehrenkrook got his season beast time in the 100 breaststroke dropping 2 seconds. Evan Franklin had biggest performances last night showing a 5 second drop in the 200 free and a 11 second drop in the 500. and being named the Outstanding meet performer.
Ethan Davis and Emory Lopossa both put in solid swims on the night. Owen Meyers and Aiden Gilliam continue to develop and are starting to show some speed. Both athletes had never competed in organized swimming prior to this season and their progress has been outstanding. This boys team is young and full of talent and will just keep getting better as the season goes on. Exciting things on the horizon for the cadets. The boys will face some stiff competition this weekend at the CC invitational.
