The cascade boy’s swimming team found some big gains on Saturday at the Clinton Central Invitational. The team finished second on the day but found some speed that has been lacking over the last two meets. Evan Franklin continues to drop time in the 200 and 500 event. Evan dropped another 5 seconds in the 200 and 4 seconds in the 500 event. Freshman Cason Vonehrenkrook dropped 2 seconds in the 100 breaststroke event and has dropped 8 seconds on the season in that event. Dane Market won the 200 IM event and finished 2nd in the 100 fly event. Freshman Noah Bush saw his first swims of the season after coming off an injury. Noah finished fourth in the 100 breaststroke. The team had solid swims out of Jackson Bolinger and Owen Meyers. According to Coach Amy Phipps the boys are on the right track ” We are beginning to see their strength and cardio come together with the drops in time. The boys have been really working hard and that is starting to show”. The boys are back on the road Monday night as they travel to Edgewood HS for a meet against Owen Valley and Edgewood.
